13:1 和合本 從前以法蓮說話,人都戰兢,他在以色列中居處高位;但他在事奉巴力的事上犯罪就死了。
KJV When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.
ASV When Ephraim spake, there was trembling; he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.
YLT When Ephraim speaketh tremblingly, He hath been lifted up in Israel, When he becometh guilty in Baal he dieth.
BBE When the words of my law came from Ephraim, he was lifted up in Israel; but when he did evil through the Baal, death overtook him.
WEB When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling.
13:2 和合本 現今他們罪上加罪,用銀子為自己鑄造偶像,就是照自己的聰明製造,都是匠人的工作。有人論說,獻祭的人可以向牛犢親嘴。
KJV And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
ASV And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, even idols according to their own understanding, all of them the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.
YLT And now do they add to sin, And make to them a molten image of their silver, By their own understanding -- idols, A work of artizans -- all of it, Of them they say, who `are' sacrificers among men, `The calves let them kiss.'
BBE And now their sins are increased; they have made themselves a metal image, false gods from their silver, after their designs, all of them the work of the metal-workers; they say of them, Let them give offerings, let men give kisses to the oxen.

13:3 和合本 因此,他們必如早晨的雲霧,又如速散的甘露,像場上的糠秕被狂風吹去,又像煙氣騰於窗外。
KJV Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
ASV Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the dew that passeth early away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing-floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.
YLT Therefore they are as a cloud of the morning, And as dew, rising early, going away, As chaff tossed about out of a floor, And as smoke out of a window.
BBE So they will be like the morning cloud, like the dew which goes early away, like the dust of the grain which the wind is driving out of the crushing-floor, like smoke going up from the fireplace.
WEB Therefore they will be like the morning mist,
13:4 和合本 自從你出埃及地以來,我就是耶和華你的神。在我以外,你不可認識別神;除我以外並沒有救主。
KJV Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
ASV Yet I am Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt; and thou shalt know no god but me, and besides me there is no saviour.
YLT And I `am' Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt, And a God besides Me thou dost not know, And a Saviour -- there is none save Me.
BBE But I am the Lord your God, from the land of Egypt; you have knowledge of no other God and there is no saviour but me.

13:5 和合本 我曾在曠野乾旱之地認識你。
KJV I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
ASV I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.
YLT I -- I have known thee in a wilderness, In a land of droughts.
BBE I had knowledge of you in the waste land where no water was.
WEB I knew you in the wilderness,
13:6 和合本 這些民照我所賜的食物得了飽足;既得飽足,心就高傲,忘記了我。
KJV According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
ASV According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted: therefore have they forgotten me.

13:7 和合本 因此,我向他們如獅子,又如豹伏在道旁。
KJV Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:

YLT And I am to them as a lion, As a leopard by the way I look out.
BBE So I will be like a lion to them; as a cruel beast I will keep watch by the road;

13:8 和合本 我遇見他們必像丟崽子的母熊,撕裂他們的胸膛(或作:心膜)。在那裡,我必像母獅吞吃他們;野獸必撕裂他們。
KJV I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.
ASV I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart; and there will I devour them like a lioness; the wild beast shall tear them.
YLT I do meet them as a bereaved bear, And I rend the enclosure of their heart.
BBE I will come face to face with them like a bear whose young ones have been taken from her, and their inmost hearts will be broken; there the dogs will make a meal of them; they will be wounded by the beasts of the field.
WEB I will meet them like a bear that is bereaved of her cubs,
13:9 和合本 以色列啊,你與我反對,就是反對幫助你的,自取敗壞。
KJV O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
ASV It is thy destruction, O Israel, that `thou art' against me, against thy help.
YLT And I consume them there as a lioness, A beast of the field doth rend them.
BBE I have sent destruction on you, O Israel; who will be your helper?
WEB You are destroyed, Israel, because you are against me,
13:10 和合本 你曾求我說:給我立王和首領。現在你的王在那裡呢?治理你的在那裡呢?讓他在你所有的城中拯救你吧!
KJV I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
ASV Where now is thy king, that he may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges, of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?
YLT Thou hast destroyed thyself, O Israel, But in Me `is' thy help, Where `is' thy king now -- And he doth save thee in all thy cities? And thy judges of whom thou didst say, `Give to me a king and heads?'
BBE Where is your king, that he may be your saviour? and all your rulers, that they may take up your cause? of whom you said, Give me a king and rulers.
WEB Where is your king now, that he may save you in all your cities?
13:11 和合本 我在怒氣中將王賜你,又在烈怒中將王廢去。
KJV I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
ASV I have given thee a king in mine anger, and have taken him away in my wrath.
YLT I give to thee a king in Mine anger, And I take away in My wrath.
BBE I have given you a king, because I was angry, and have taken him away in my wrath.
WEB I have given you a king in my anger,
13:12 和合本 以法蓮的罪孽包裹;他的罪惡收藏。
KJV The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hid.
ASV The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is laid up in store.
YLT Bound up `is' the iniquity of Ephraim, Hidden `is' his sin,
BBE The wrongdoing of Ephraim is shut up; his sin is put away in secret.
WEB The guilt of Ephraim is stored up.
13:13 和合本 產婦的疼痛必臨到他身上;他是無智慧之子,到了產期不當遲延。
KJV The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.
ASV The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for it is time he should not tarry in the place of the breaking forth of children.
YLT Pangs of a travailing woman come to him, He `is' a son not wise, For he remaineth not the time for the breaking forth of sons.
BBE The pains of a woman in childbirth will come on him: he is an unwise son, for at this time it is not right for him to keep his place when children come to birth.
WEB The sorrows of a travailing woman will come on him.
13:14 和合本 我必救贖他們脫離陰間,救贖他們脫離死亡。死亡啊,你的災害在那裡呢?陰間哪,你的毀滅在那裡呢?在我眼前絕無後悔之事。
KJV I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
ASV I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from death: O death, where are thy plagues? O Sheol, where is thy destruction? repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
YLT From the hand of Sheol I do ransom them, From death I redeem them, Where `is' thy plague, O death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes.
BBE I will give the price to make them free from the power of the underworld, I will be their saviour from death: O death! where are your pains? O underworld! where is your destruction? my eyes will have no pity.
WEB I will ransom them from the power of Sheol.
13:15 和合本 他在弟兄中雖然茂盛,必有東風颳來,就是耶和華的風從曠野上來。他的泉源必乾;他的源頭必竭;仇敵必擄掠他所積蓄的一切寶器。
KJV Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.
ASV Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the breath of Jehovah coming up from the wilderness; and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall make spoil of the treasure of all goodly vessels.
YLT Though he among brethren produceth fruit, Come in doth an east wind, a wind of Jehovah, From a wilderness it is coming up, And it drieth up his fountain, And become dry doth his spring, It -- it spoileth a treasure -- every desirable vessel.
BBE Though he gives fruit among his brothers, an east wind will come, the wind of the Lord coming up from the waste land, and his spring will become dry, his fountain will be without water: it will make waste the store of all the vessels of his desire.

13:16 和合本 撒瑪利亞必擔當自己的罪,因為悖逆他的神。他必倒在刀下;嬰孩必被摔死;孕婦必被剖開。
KJV Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
ASV Samaria shall bear her guilt; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
YLT Become desolate doth Samaria, Because she hath rebelled against her God, By sword they do fall, Their sucklings are dashed in pieces, And its pregnant ones are ripped up!
