24:1 和合本 過了五天,大祭司亞拿尼亞同幾個長老,和一個辯士帖土羅下來,向巡撫控告保羅。
KJV And after five days Ananias the high priest descended with the elders, and with a certain orator named Tertullus, who informed the governor against Paul.
ASV And after five days the high priest Ananias came down with certain elders, and `with' an orator, one Tertullus; and they informed the governor against Paul.
YLT And after five days came down the chief priest Ananias, with the elders, and a certain orator -- Tertullus, and they made manifest to the governor `the things' against Paul;

24:2 和合本 保羅被提了來,帖土羅就告他說:
KJV And when he was called forth, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,
ASV And when he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy much peace, and that by the providence evils are corrected for this nation,

24:3 和合本 「腓力斯大人,我們因你得以大享太平,並且這一國的弊病,因著你的先見得以更正了;我們隨時隨地滿心感謝不盡。
KJV We accept it always, and in all places, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness.
ASV we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.
YLT always, also, and everywhere we receive it, most noble Felix, with all thankfulness;
BBE In all things and in all places we are conscious of our great debt to you, most noble Felix.

24:4 和合本 惟恐多說,你嫌煩絮,只求你寬容聽我們說幾句話。
KJV Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words.
ASV But, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I entreat thee to hear us of thy clemency a few words.
YLT and that I may not be further tedious to thee, I pray thee to hear us concisely in thy gentleness;
BBE But, so that I may not make you tired, I make a request to you of your mercy, to give hearing to a short statement.

24:5 和合本 我們看這個人,如同瘟疫一般,是鼓動普天下眾猶太人生亂的,又是拿撒勒教黨裡的一個頭目,
KJV For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
ASV For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
YLT for having found this man a pestilence, and moving a dissension to all the Jews through the world -- a ringleader also of the sect of the Nazarenes --
BBE For this man, in our opinion, is a cause of trouble, a maker of attacks on the government among Jews through all the empire, and a chief mover in the society of the Nazarenes:

24:6 和合本 連聖殿他也想要污穢;我們把他捉住了。(有古卷在此有:要按我們的律法審問,
KJV Who also hath gone about to profane the temple: whom we took, and would have judged according to our law.
ASV who moreover assayed to profane the temple: on whom also we laid hold: `and we would have judged him according to our law.'
YLT who also the temple did try to profane, whom also we took, and according to our law did wish to judge,
BBE Who, in addition, was attempting to make the Temple unclean: whom we took,

KJV Commanding his accusers to come unto thee: by examining of whom thyself mayest take knowledge of all these things, whereof we accuse him.
ASV `commanding his accusers to come before thee.' from whom thou wilt be able, by examining him thyself, to take knowledge of all these things whereof we accuse him.
YLT having commanded his accusers to come to thee, from whom thou mayest be able, thyself having examined, to know concerning all these things of which we accuse him;'
BBE And from whom you will be able, by questioning him yourself, to get knowledge of all the things which we say against him.
WEB By examining him yourself you may ascertain all these things of which we accuse him."
24:9 和合本 眾猶太人也隨著告他說:「事情誠然是這樣。」
KJV And the Jews also assented, saying that these things were so.
ASV And the Jews also joined in the charge, affirming that these things were so.
YLT and the Jews also agreed, professing these things to be so.
BBE And the Jews were in agreement with his statement, saying that these things were so.

24:10 和合本 巡撫點頭叫保羅說話。他就說:「我知道你在這國裡斷事多年,所以我樂意為自己分訴。
KJV Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
ASV And when the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, Paul answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I cheerfully make my defense:
YLT And Paul answered -- the governor having beckoned to him to speak -- `Knowing `that' for many years thou hast been a judge to this nation, the more cheerfully the things concerning myself I do answer;
BBE Then when the ruler had given him a sign to make his answer, Paul said, Because I have knowledge that you have been a judge over this nation for a number of years, I am glad to make my answer:

24:11 和合本 你查問就可以知道,從我上耶路撒冷禮拜到今日不過有十二天。
KJV Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
ASV Seeing that thou canst take knowledge that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem:
YLT thou being able to know that it is not more than twelve days to me since I went up to worship in Jerusalem,
BBE Seeing that you are able to make certain of the fact that it is not more than twelve days from the time when I came up to Jerusalem for worship;

24:12 和合本 他們並沒有看見我在殿裡,或是在會堂裡,或是在城裡,和人辯論,聳動眾人。
KJV And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
ASV and neither in the temple did they find me disputing with any man or stirring up a crowd, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city.
YLT and neither in the temple did they find me reasoning with any one, or making a dissension of the multitude, nor in the synagogues, nor in the city;
BBE And they have not seen me in argument with any man in the Temple, or working up the feelings of the people, in the Synagogues or in the town:
WEB In the temple they didn't find me disputing with anyone or stirring up a crowd, either in the synagogues, or in the city.
24:13 和合本 他們現在所告我的事並不能對你證實了。
KJV Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
ASV Neither can they prove to thee the things whereof they now accuse me.
YLT nor are they able to prove against me the things concerning which they now accuse me.
BBE And they are not able to give facts in support of the things which they say against me now.
WEB Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.
24:14 和合本 但有一件事,我向你承認,就是他們所稱為異端的道,我正按著那道事奉我祖宗的神,又信合乎律法的和先知書上一切所記載的,
KJV But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
ASV But this I confess unto thee, that after the Way which they call a sect, so serve I the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;
YLT `And I confess this to thee, that, according to the way that they call a sect, so serve I the God of the fathers, believing all things that in the law and the prophets have been written,
BBE But this I will say openly to you, that I do give worship to the God of our fathers after that Way, which to them is not the true religion: but I have belief in all the things which are in the law and in the books of the prophets:

24:15 和合本 並且靠著神,盼望死人,無論善惡,都要復活,就是他們自己也有這個盼望。
KJV And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
ASV having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust.
YLT having hope toward God, which they themselves also wait for, `that' there is about to be a rising again of the dead, both of righteous and unrighteous;
BBE Hoping in God for that which they themselves are looking for, that there will be a coming back from the dead for upright men and wrongdoers.

24:16 和合本 我因此自己勉勵,對神對人,常存無虧的良心。

24:19 和合本 他們若有告我的事,就應當到你面前來告我。
KJV Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me.

YLT whom it behoveth to be present before thee, and to accuse, if they had anything against me,
BBE And it would have been better if they had come here to make a statement, if they have anything against me.

24:20 和合本 即或不然,這些人若看出我站在公會前,有妄為的地方,他們自己也可以說明。
KJV Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,
ASV Or else let these men themselves say what wrong-doing they found when I stood before the council,
YLT or let these same say if they found any unrighteousness in me in my standing before the sanhedrim,
BBE Or let these men here present say what wrongdoing was seen in me when I was before the Sanhedrin,

24:21 和合本 縱然有,也不過一句話,就是我站在他們中間大聲說:『我今日在你們面前受審,是為死人復活的道理。』」
KJV Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.
ASV except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question before you this day.
YLT except concerning this one voice, in which I cried, standing among them -- Concerning a rising again of the dead I am judged to-day by you.'
BBE But only this one thing which I said among them in a loud voice, I am this day being judged on the question of the coming back from the dead.

24:22 和合本 腓力斯本是詳細曉得這道,就支吾他們說:「且等千夫長呂西亞下來,我要審斷你們的事。」
KJV And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.
ASV But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will determine your matter.
YLT And having heard these things, Felix delayed them -- having known more exactly of the things concerning the way -- saying, `When Lysias the chief captain may come down, I will know fully the things concerning you;'
BBE But Felix, who had a more detailed knowledge of the Way, put them off, saying, When Lysias, the chief captain, comes down, I will give attention to your business.
WEB But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, "When Lysias, the commanding officer, comes down, I will decide your case."
24:23 和合本 於是吩咐百夫長看守保羅,並且寬待他,也不攔阻他的親友來供給他。
KJV And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.
ASV And he gave order to the centurion that he should be kept in charge, and should have indulgence; and not to forbid any of his friends to minister unto him.
YLT having given also a direction to the centurion to keep Paul, to let `him' also have liberty, and to forbid none of his own friends to minister or to come near to him.
BBE And he gave orders to the captain to keep Paul under his control, and to let him have everything he had need of; and not to keep his friends from coming to see him.

KJV And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
ASV And as he reasoned of righteousness, and self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, Go thy way for this time; and when I have a convenient season, I will call thee unto me.
YLT and he reasoning concerning righteousness, and temperance, and the judgment that is about to be, Felix, having become afraid, answered, `For the present be going, and having got time, I will call for thee;'
BBE And while he was talking about righteousness and self-control and the judging which was to come, Felix had great fear and said, Go away for the present, and when the right time comes I will send for you.

ASV But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.
YLT and two years having been fulfilled, Felix received a successor, Porcius Festus; Felix also willing to lay a favour on the Jews, left Paul bound.
BBE But after two years Porcius Festus took the place of Felix, who, desiring to have the approval of the Jews, kept Paul in chains.
