Few words in the Bible are as famous as Israel. It is mentioned over 2000 times in Scripture. The name Israel refers to the person with the earth. But originally meant one person. Israel was originally given to Jacob after he wrestled with an angel of the Lord.
以撒和利百加生「雅各」，雅各跟神較力後，被神更名為「以色列」。「以色列」出現在聖經超過2000次，是人名、族名與國名。
