以賽亞書 第35章

我們在昨天的查經中，曾經從個人和此時此地的角度來思想「願你的國降臨」這句禱文的含意；今天，我們將會從預言的角度來看這句禱文的意思。

聖經毫不諱言耶穌基督將會作全地的王，而且，全宇宙都要伏在祂的腳下。舊約和新約的許多經文都一再重申這點。

在基督降世之前，天使迦百列向童女馬利亞顯現報訊，當中說了一句話：「他的國也沒有窮盡」(路一33)。父神對神子又說了些甚麼呢？「你坐在我的右邊，等我使你的仇敵作你的腳凳」(詩一一零1)。

神又向世人怎麼說呢？「叫一切在天上的、地上的，和地底下的，因耶穌的名，無不屈膝」(腓二10)。

當我們向神禱告說：「你的國降臨」，就等於約翰在啟示錄最後一句話說：「主耶穌啊，我願你來！」我們在心中不斷呼求主說：「主啊，你來作我們的王吧！請你坐在統管宇宙的寶座上，將那黑暗之子永遠丟棄，求你以公義管治全地。萬王之王的主耶穌啊，願你快來！」

國中無王是不行的。當主耶穌親自作王的時候，可想而知這國度將會是何等的圓滿。

在你的心目中，一個公義的國度將會是樣的呢？它會否沒有罪惡、沒有疾病、沒有衰敗、沒有死亡，甚至是沒有試探？實在是超乎想像。這正是基督的國度。當神給祂兒子的應許完全成就的一天，我們這些作為神國子民的人，便能夠親自體驗在這公義國度生活的滋味。我們期盼它的來臨，因為我們相信神的話語真實。你已作好準備去迎接我們這位大君王了嗎？

主啊，願你的國降臨。

THE COMING KINGDOM

BIBLE READING: Isaiah 35:1-10

We thought together yesterday of the personal or present aspect of the phrase Thy kingdom come. Today we look at it from another perspective - the prophetic aspect.

The Word of God leaves no doubt that ultimately Jesus Christ will not only be king over the earth, but over the whole universe. Many passages in both Old and New Testaments affirm this repeatedly.

Before Christ was born the angel Gabriel said to the Virgin Mary, His kingdom will never end (Luke 1 :33). What did the Father say to the Son? Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet (Psalm 110:1).

What has God said to the world? At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth ... (Philippians 2:10).

When we pray Thy kingdom come we are praying as John did in the last words of Revelation, Come Lord Jesus. Come and reign over us. Take Your place on the throne of the universe.

Throw out for ever the prince of darkness and rule in righteousness. Come King Jesus and come quickly.

We cannot have the kingdom without the king. But when He does come, how wonderful it will be.

Can you imagine a kingdom of righteousness? A kingdom where there is no sin, no sickness, no corruption, no death, not even temptation? It is beyond our comprehension. This is what Christs kingdom will be like. But as individual members of Christs kingdom all this will be our experience when Gods promises to His Son are ultimately fulfilled. We can look forward to it, because of the certainty of Gods Word. Are you ready for the coming of the King?

LORD, THY KINGDOM COME.
