Davids Personal Testimony
Bible Reading: Psalm 27

Personal testimonies are always thrilling, arent they? When someone tells us about what God has done for them, we sometimes feel like shouting, Praise the Lord!. Here is one of Davids testimonies.

There were times when David was right on top of everything. There were times when he felt right down at the bottom. Look at the first few verses, then read verses 7 to 10 and see the difference.

But to David, God was a real personal friend. Look at what he says about God in verse 1. He calls him my light, my salvation, my strength, my security, my confidence (v.3). And God is still the same today.

David speaks to us too. He gives us three things to remember in verses 13 and 14. Firstly, believe God. Even though everything may look dark and everyone be against you, trust in God. Nothing takes him by surprise and he will bring you through.

Secondly, wait for God. God has his will for you that he wants to work out in your life. But it is going to take time. Give God time to work.

Thirdly, have courage to stand for God and with God. There will often be times when we need to stand up and be counted as being on Gods side. Others may not like it but if we truly love God, then these are the three things David says we must do. Believe in God, wait for God and let others know that is what we are doing.

A Thought For Today: Someone has said the word wait used here means Dont interrupt God. What does that mean to you and for you?
