7:1 和合本 人在世上豈無爭戰嗎?他的日子不像雇工人的日子嗎?
KJV Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?
ASV Is there not a warfare to man upon earth? And are not his days like the days of a hireling?
YLT Is there not a warfare to man on earth? And as the days of an hireling his days?
BBE Has not man his ordered time of trouble on the earth? and are not his days like the days of a servant working for payment?

7:2 和合本 像奴僕切慕黑影,像雇工人盼望工價;
KJV As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for the reward of his work:
ASV As a servant that earnestly desireth the shadow, And as a hireling that looketh for his wages:
YLT As a servant desireth the shadow, And as a hireling expecteth his wage,
BBE As a servant desiring the shades of evening, and a workman looking for his payment:

7:3 和合本 我也照樣經過困苦的日月,夜間的疲乏為我而定。
KJV So am I made to possess months of vanity, and wearisome nights are appointed to me.

YLT So I have been caused to inherit months of vanity, And nights of misery they numbered to me.

7:5 和合本 我的肉體以蟲子和塵土為衣;我的皮膚才收了口又重新破裂。
KJV My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; my skin is broken, and become loathsome.
ASV My flesh is clothed with worms and clods of dust; My skin closeth up, and breaketh out afresh.
YLT Clothed hath been my flesh `with' worms, And a clod of dust, My skin hath been shrivelled and is loathsome,
BBE My flesh is covered with worms and dust; my skin gets hard and then is cracked again.

7:6 和合本 我的日子比梭更快,都消耗在無指望之中。

7:9 和合本 雲彩消散而過;照樣,人下陰間也不再上來。
KJV As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.

7:10 和合本 他不再回自己的家;故土也不再認識他。
KJV He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.

7:11 和合本 我不禁止我口;我靈愁苦,要發出言語;我心苦惱,要吐露哀情。

7:16 和合本 我厭棄性命,不願永活。你任憑我吧,因我的日子都是虛空。
KJV I loathe it; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days are vanity.

7:20 和合本 鑒察人的主啊,我若有罪,於你何妨?為何以我當你的箭靶子,使我厭棄自己的性命?
KJV I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?

7:21 和合本 為何不赦免我的過犯,除掉我的罪孽?我現今要躺臥在塵土中;你要殷勤地尋找我,我卻不在了。
KJV And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away my iniquity? for now shall I sleep in the dust; and thou shalt seek me in the morning, but I shall not be.
ASV And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? For now shall I lie down in the dust; And thou wilt seek me diligently, but I shall not be.
YLT Thou dost not take away my transgression, And cause to pass away mine iniquity, Because now, for dust I lie down: And Thou hast sought me -- and I am not!
BBE And why do you not take away my sin, and let my wrongdoing be ended? for now I go down to the dust, and you will be searching for me with care, but I will be gone.
