39:1 和合本 (大衛的詩,交與伶長耶杜頓。)我曾說:我要謹慎我的言行,免得我舌頭犯罪;惡人在我面前的時候,我要用嚼環勒住我的口。
KJV I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
ASV I said, I will take heed to my ways, That I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, While the wicked is before me.
YLT To the Overseer, to Jeduthun. -- A Psalm of David. I have said, `I observe my ways, Against sinning with my tongue, I keep for my mouth a curb, while the wicked `is' before me.'
BBE <To the chief music-maker. Of Jeduthun. A Psalm. Of David.> I said, I will give attention to my ways, so that my tongue may do no wrong; I will keep my mouth under control, while the sinner is before me.
WEB I said, "I will watch my ways, so that I don't sin with my tongue.
39:2 和合本 我默然無聲,連好話也不出口;我的愁苦就發動了,
KJV I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.
ASV I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; And my sorrow was stirred.
YLT I was dumb `with' silence, I kept silent from good, and my pain is excited.
BBE I made no sound, I said no word, even of good; and I was moved with sorrow.

39:3 和合本 我的心在我裡面發熱。我默想的時候,火就燒起,我便用舌頭說話。

YLT Hot `is' my heart within me, In my meditating doth the fire burn, I have spoken with my tongue.

39:4 和合本 耶和華啊,求你叫我曉得我身之終!我的壽數幾何?叫我知道我的生命不長!
KJV LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.
ASV Jehovah, make me to know mine end, And the measure of my days, what it is; Let me know how frail I am.
YLT `Cause me to know, O Jehovah, mine end, And the measure of my days -- what it `is',' I know how frail I `am'.
BBE Lord, give me knowledge of my end, and of the measure of my days, so that I may see how feeble I am.

BBE You have made my days no longer than a hand's measure; and my years are nothing in your eyes; truly, every man is but a breath. (Selah.)

39:6 和合本 世人行動實係幻影。他們忙亂,真是枉然;積蓄財寶,不知將來有誰收取。
KJV Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

BBE Truly, every man goes on his way like an image; he is troubled for no purpose: he makes a great store of wealth, and has no knowledge of who will get it.

39:8 和合本 求你救我脫離一切的過犯,不要使我受愚頑人的羞辱。
KJV Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

YLT From all my transgressions deliver me, A reproach of the fool make me not.
BBE Make me free from all my sins; do not let me be shamed by the man of evil behaviour.

39:9 和合本 因我所遭遇的是出於你,我就默然不語。
KJV I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it.

39:10 和合本 求你把你的責罰從我身上免去;因你手的責打,我便消滅。
KJV Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

39:11 和合本 你因人的罪惡懲罰他的時候,叫他的笑容消滅,(的笑容:或作所喜愛的)如衣被蟲所咬。世人真是虛幻!(細拉)

39:12 和合本 耶和華啊,求你聽我的禱告,留心聽我的呼求!我流淚,求你不要靜默無聲!因為我在你面前是客旅,是寄居的,像我列祖一般。
