24:1 和合本 全能者既定期罰惡,為何不使認識他的人看見那日子呢?
KJV Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
ASV Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why do not they that know him see his days?
YLT Wherefore from the Mighty One Times have not been hidden, And those knowing Him have not seen His days.
BBE Why are times not stored up by the Ruler of all, and why do those who have knowledge of him not see his days?

24:2 和合本 有人挪移地界,搶奪群畜而牧養。
KJV Some remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed thereof.
ASV There are that remove the landmarks; They violently take away flocks, and feed them.
YLT The borders they reach, A drove they have taken violently away, Yea, they do evil.
BBE The landmarks are changed by evil men, they violently take away flocks, together with their keepers.
WEB There are people who remove the landmarks.
24:3 和合本 他們拉去孤兒的驢,強取寡婦的牛為當頭。
KJV They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
ASV They drive away the ass of the fatherless; They take the widow's ox for a pledge.
YLT The ass of the fatherless they lead away, They take in pledge the ox of the widow,
BBE They send away the ass of him who has no father, they take the widow's ox for debt.

24:4 和合本 他們使窮人離開正道;世上的貧民盡都隱藏。
KJV They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.

YLT They turn aside the needy from the way, Together have hid the poor of the earth.

24:5 和合本 這些貧窮人如同野驢出到曠野,殷勤尋找食物;他們靠著野地給兒女糊口,
KJV Behold, as wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness yieldeth food for them and for their children.
ASV Behold, as wild asses in the desert They go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food; The wilderness `yieldeth' them bread for their children.

24:6 和合本 收割別人田間的禾稼,摘取惡人餘剩的葡萄,
KJV They reap every one his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked.
ASV They cut their provender in the field; And they glean the vintage of the wicked.
YLT In a field his provender they reap, And the vineyard of the wicked they glean.
BBE They get mixed grain from the field, and they take away the late fruit from the vines of those who have wealth.

24:7 和合本 終夜赤身無衣,天氣寒冷毫無遮蓋,
KJV They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.

YLT The naked they cause to lodge Without clothing. And there is no covering in the cold.
BBE They take their rest at night without clothing, and have no cover in the cold.

24:8 和合本 在山上被大雨淋濕,因沒有避身之處就挨近磐石。
KJV They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
ASV They are wet with the showers of the mountains, And embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
YLT From the inundation of hills they are wet, And without a refuge -- have embraced a rock.
BBE They are wet with the rain of the mountains, and get into the cracks of the rock for cover.

24:9 和合本 又有人從母懷中搶奪孤兒,強取窮人的衣服為當頭,
KJV They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
ASV There are that pluck the fatherless from the breast, And take a pledge of the poor;
YLT They take violently away From the breast the orphan, And on the poor they lay a pledge.
BBE The child without a father is forced from its mother's breast, and they take the young children of the poor for debt.

24:10 和合本 使人赤身無衣,到處流行,且因飢餓扛抬禾捆,
KJV They cause him to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf from the hungry;
ASV `So that' they go about naked without clothing, And being hungry they carry the sheaves.
YLT Naked, they have gone without clothing, And hungry -- have taken away a sheaf.
BBE Others go about without clothing, and though they have no food, they get in the grain from the fields.
WEB So that they go around naked without clothing.
24:11 和合本 在那些人的圍牆內造油,醡酒,自己還口渴。
KJV Which make oil within their walls, and tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
ASV They make oil within the walls of these men; They tread `their' winepresses, and suffer thirst.
YLT Between their walls they make oil, Wine-presses they have trodden, and thirst.
BBE Between the lines of olive-trees they make oil; though they have no drink, they are crushing out the grapes.
WEB They make oil within the walls of these men.
24:12 和合本 在多民的城內有人唉哼,受傷的人哀號;神卻不理會那惡人的愚妄。
KJV Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.
ASV From out of the populous city men groan, And the soul of the wounded crieth out: Yet God regardeth not the folly.
YLT Because of enmity men do groan, And the soul of pierced ones doth cry, And God doth not give praise.
BBE From the town come sounds of pain from those who are near death, and the soul of the wounded is crying out for help; but God does not take note of their prayer.
WEB From out of the populous city, men groan.
24:13 和合本 又有人背棄光明,不認識光明的道,不住在光明的路上。
KJV They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
ASV These are of them that rebel against the light; They know not the ways thereof, Nor abide in the paths thereof.
YLT They have been among rebellious ones of light, They have not discerned His ways, Nor abode in His paths.
BBE Then there are those who are haters of the light, who have no knowledge of its ways, and do not go in them.

24:14 和合本 殺人的黎明起來,殺害困苦窮乏人,夜間又作盜賊。
KJV The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
ASV The murderer riseth with the light; He killeth the poor and needy; And in the night he is as a thief.
YLT At the light doth the murderer rise, He doth slay the poor and needy, And in the night he is as a thief.
BBE He who is purposing death gets up before day, so that he may put to death the poor and those in need.
WEB The murderer rises with the light.
24:15 和合本 姦夫等候黃昏,說:必無眼能見我,就把臉蒙蔽。
KJV The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.
ASV The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, Saying, No eye shall see me: And he disguiseth his face.
YLT And the eye of an adulterer Hath observed the twilight, Saying, `No eye doth behold me.' And he putteth the face in secret.
BBE And the man whose desire is for the wife of another is waiting for the evening, saying, No eye will see me; and he puts a cover on his face. And in the night the thief goes about;

24:16 和合本 盜賊黑夜挖窟窿;白日躲藏,並不認識光明。
KJV In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
ASV In the dark they dig through houses: They shut themselves up in the day-time; They know not the light.
YLT He hath dug in the darkness -- houses; By day they shut themselves up, They have not known light.
BBE In the dark he makes holes in the walls of houses: in the daytime they are shutting themselves up, they have no knowledge of the light.

24:17 和合本 他們看早晨如幽暗,因為他們曉得幽暗的驚駭。
KJV For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
ASV For the morning is to all of them as thick darkness; For they know the terrors of the thick darkness.
YLT When together, morning `is' to them death shade, When he discerneth the terrors of death shade.
BBE For the middle of the night is as morning to them, they are not troubled by the fear of the dark.

24:18 和合本 這些惡人猶如浮萍快快飄去。他們所得的分在世上被咒詛;他們不得再走葡萄園的路。
KJV He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
ASV Swiftly they `pass away' upon the face of the waters; Their portion is cursed in the earth: They turn not into the way of the vineyards.
YLT Light he `is' on the face of the waters, Vilified is their portion in the earth, He turneth not the way of vineyards.
BBE They go quickly on the face of the waters; their heritage is cursed in the earth; the steps of the crusher of grapes are not turned to their vine-garden.

24:19 和合本 乾旱炎熱消沒雪水;陰間也如此消沒犯罪之輩。
KJV Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
ASV Drought and heat consume the snow waters: `So doth' Sheol `those that' have sinned.
YLT Drought -- also heat -- consume snow-waters, Sheol `those who' have sinned.
BBE Snow waters become dry with the heat: so do sinners go down into the underworld.

24:20 和合本 懷他的母(原文作胎)要忘記他;蟲子要吃他,覺得甘甜;他不再被人記念。不義的人必如樹折斷。
KJV The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
ASV The womb shall forget him; The worm shall feed sweetly on him; He shall be no more remembered; And unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.
YLT Forget him doth the womb, Sweeten `on' him doth the worm, No more is he remembered, And broken as a tree is wickedness.
BBE The public place of his town has no more knowledge of him, and his name has gone from the memory of men: he is rooted up like a dead tree.

24:21 和合本 他惡待(或作:他吞滅)不懷孕不生養的婦人,不善待寡婦。
KJV He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
ASV He devoureth the barren that beareth not, And doeth not good to the widow.
YLT Treating evil the barren `who' beareth not, And `to' the widow he doth no good,
BBE He is not kind to the widow, and he has no pity for her child.
WEB He devours the barren who don't bear.
24:22 和合本 然而神用能力保全有勢力的人;那性命難保的人仍然興起。
KJV He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
ASV Yet `God' preserveth the mighty by his power: He riseth up that hath no assurance of life.
YLT And hath drawn the mighty by his power, He riseth, and none believeth in life.
BBE But God by his power gives long life to the strong; he gets up again, though he has no hope of life.
WEB Yet God preserves the mighty by his power.
24:23 和合本 神使他們安穩,他們就有所倚靠;神的眼目也看顧他們的道路。
KJV Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
ASV `God' giveth them to be in security, and they rest thereon; And his eyes are upon their ways.
YLT He giveth to him confidence, and he is supported, And his eyes `are' on their ways.
BBE He takes away his fear of danger and gives him support; and his eyes are on his ways.
WEB God gives them security, and they rest in it.
24:24 和合本 他們被高舉,不過片時就沒有了;他們降為卑,被除滅,與眾人一樣,又如穀穗被割。
KJV They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
ASV They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone; Yea, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, And are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
YLT High they were `for' a little, and they are not, And they have been brought low. As all `others' they are shut up, And as the head of an ear of corn cut off.
BBE For a short time they are lifted up; then they are gone; they are made low, they are pulled off like fruit, and like the heads of grain they are cut off.
WEB They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone.
24:25 和合本 若不是這樣,誰能證實我是說謊的,將我的言語駁為虛空呢?
KJV And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
ASV And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar, And make my speech nothing worth?
YLT And if not now, who doth prove me a liar, And doth make of nothing my word?
BBE And if it is not so, now, who will make it clear that my words are false, and that what I say is of no value?
WEB If it isn't so now, who will prove me a liar,
