42:2 和合本 我知道,你萬事都能做;你的旨意不能攔阻。
KJV I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.
ASV I know that thou canst do all things, And that no purpose of thine can be restrained.
YLT Thou hast known that `for' all things Thou art able, And not withheld from Thee is `any' device:
BBE I see that you are able to do every thing, and to give effect to all your designs.

42:3 和合本 誰用無知的言語使你的旨意隱藏呢?我所說的是我不明白的;這些事太奇妙,是我不知道的。
KJV Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
ASV Who is this that hideth counsel without knowledge? Therefore have I uttered that which I understood not, Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
YLT `Who `is' this, hiding counsel without knowledge?' Therefore, I have declared, and understand not, Too wonderful for me, and I know not.
BBE Who is this who makes dark the purpose of God by words without knowledge? For I have been talking without knowledge about wonders not to be searched out.

42:4 和合本 求你聽我,我要說話;我問你,求你指示我。
KJV Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
ASV Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak; I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
YLT `Hear, I pray thee, and I -- I do speak, I ask thee, and cause thou me to know.'
BBE Give ear to me, and I will say what is in my mind; I will put questions to you, and you will give me the answers.

42:5 和合本 我從前風聞有你,現在親眼看見你。
KJV I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
ASV I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; But now mine eye seeth thee:
YLT By the hearing of the ear I heard Thee, And now mine eye hath seen Thee.
BBE Word of you had come to my ears, but now my eye has seen you.
WEB I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear,
42:6 和合本 因此我厭惡自己(或作:我的言語),在塵土和爐灰中懊悔。
KJV Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
ASV Wherefore I abhor `myself', And repent in dust and ashes.
YLT Therefore do I loathe `it', And I have repented on dust and ashes.
BBE For this cause I give witness that what I said is false, and in sorrow I take my seat in the dust.

42:7 和合本 耶和華對約伯說話以後,就對提幔人以利法說:「我的怒氣向你和你兩個朋友發作,因為你們議論我不如我的僕人約伯說的是。
KJV And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
ASV And it was so, that, after Jehovah had spoken these words unto Job, Jehovah said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
YLT And it cometh to pass after Jehovah's speaking these words unto Job, that Jehovah saith unto Eliphaz the Temanite, `Burned hath Mine anger against thee, and against thy two friends, because ye have not spoken concerning Me rightly, like My servant Job.
BBE And it came about, after he had said these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, I am very angry with you and your two friends, because you have not said what is right about me, as my servant Job has.
WEB It was so, that after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.
42:8 和合本 現在你們要取七隻公牛,七隻公羊,到我僕人約伯那裡去,為自己獻上燔祭,我的僕人約伯就為你們祈禱。我因悅納他,就不按你們的愚妄辦你們。你們議論我,不如我的僕人約伯說的是。」
KJV Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spo
ASV Now therefore, take unto you seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt-offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you; for him will I accept, that I deal not with you after your folly; for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
YLT And now, take to you seven bullocks and seven rams, and go ye unto My servant Job, and ye have caused a burnt-offering to ascend for you; and Job My servant doth pray for you, for surely his face I accept, so as not to do with you folly, because ye have not spoken concerning Me rightly, like My servant Job.
BBE And now, take seven oxen and seven sheep, and go to my servant Job, and give a burned offering for yourselves, and my servant Job will make prayer for you, that I may not send punishment on you; because you have not said what is right about me, as my servant Job has.
WEB Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has."
42:9 和合本 於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法照著耶和華所吩咐的去行;耶和華就悅納約伯。
KJV So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.
ASV So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as Jehovah commanded them: and Jehovah accepted Job.
YLT And they go -- Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, Zophar the Naamathite -- and do as Jehovah hath spoken unto them; and Jehovah doth accept the face of Job.
BBE And Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, went and did as the Lord had said. And the Lord gave ear to Job.
WEB So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what Yahweh commanded them, and Yahweh accepted Job.
42:10 和合本 約伯為他的朋友祈禱。耶和華就使約伯從苦境(原文作擄掠)轉回,並且耶和華賜給他的比他從前所有的加倍。
KJV And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

YLT And Jehovah hath turned `to' the captivity of Job in his praying for his friends, and Jehovah doth add `to' all that Job hath -- to double.

KJV Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him:

YLT And come unto him do all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all his former acquaintances, and they eat bread with him in his house, and bemoan him, and comfort him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him, and they gave to him each one kesitah, and each one ring of gold.
BBE And all his brothers and sisters, and his friends of earlier days, came and took food with him in his house; and made clear their grief for him, and gave him comfort for all the evil which the Lord had sent on him; and they all gave him a bit of money and a gold ring.
WEB Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that Yahweh had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.
42:12 和合本 這樣,耶和華後來賜福給約伯比先前更多。他有一萬四千羊,六千駱駝,一千對牛,一千母驢。
KJV So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
ASV So Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
YLT And Jehovah hath blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning, and he hath fourteen thousand of a flock, and six thousand camels, and a thousand pairs of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
BBE And the Lord's blessing was greater on the end of Job's life than on its start: and so he came to have fourteen thousand sheep and goats, and six thousand camels, and two thousand oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
WEB So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.

42:15 和合本 在那全地的婦女中找不著像約伯的女兒那樣美貌。他們的父親使他們在弟兄中得產業。
KJV And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
