5:1 和合本 你且呼求,有誰答應你?諸聖者之中,你轉向那一位呢?
KJV Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?
ASV Call now; is there any that will answer thee? And to which of the holy ones wilt thou turn?
YLT Pray, call, is there any to answer thee? And unto which of the holy ones dost thou turn?
BBE Give now a cry for help; is there anyone who will give you an answer? and to which of the holy ones will you make your prayer?
WEB "Call now; is there any who will answer you?
5:2 和合本 忿怒害死愚妄人;嫉妒殺死癡迷人。
KJV For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.
ASV For vexation killeth the foolish man, And jealousy slayeth the silly one.
YLT For provocation slayeth the perverse, And envy putteth to death the simple,
BBE For wrath is the cause of death to the foolish, and he who has no wisdom comes to his end through passion.
WEB For resentment kills the foolish man,
5:3 和合本 我曾見愚妄人扎下根,但我忽然咒詛他的住處。
KJV I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
ASV I have seen the foolish taking root: But suddenly I cursed his habitation.
YLT I -- I have seen the perverse taking root, And I mark his habitation straightway,
BBE I have seen the foolish taking root, but suddenly the curse came on his house.

5:4 和合本 他的兒女遠離穩妥的地步,在城門口被壓,並無人搭救。
KJV His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.
ASV His children are far from safety, And they are crushed in the gate, Neither is there any to deliver them:
YLT Far are his sons from safety, And they are bruised in the gate, And there is no deliverer.
BBE Now his children have no safe place, and they are crushed before the judges, for no one takes up their cause.

5:5 和合本 他的莊稼有飢餓的人吃盡了,就是在荊棘裡的也搶去了;他的財寶有網羅張口吞滅了。
KJV Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
ASV Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, And taketh it even out of the thorns; And the snare gapeth for their substance.
YLT Whose harvest the hungry doth eat, And even from the thorns taketh it, And the designing swallowed their wealth.
BBE Their produce is taken by him who has no food, and their grain goes to the poor, and he who is in need of water gets it from their spring.

5:6 和合本 禍患原不是從土中出來;患難也不是從地裡發生。
KJV Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;
ASV For affliction cometh not forth from the dust, Neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;
YLT For sorrow cometh not forth from the dust, Nor from the ground springeth up misery.
BBE For evil does not come out of the dust, or trouble out of the earth;

5:7 和合本 人生在世必遇患難,如同火星飛騰。
KJV Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
ASV But man is born unto trouble, As the sparks fly upward.
YLT For man to misery is born, And the sparks go high to fly.
BBE But trouble is man's fate from birth, as the flames go up from the fire.

5:8 和合本 至於我,我必仰望神,把我的事情託付他。
KJV I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
ASV But as for me, I would seek unto God, And unto God would I commit my cause;
YLT Yet I -- I inquire for God, And for God I give my word,
BBE But as for me, I would make my prayer to God, and I would put my cause before him:

5:9 和合本 他行大事不可測度,行奇事不可勝數:
KJV Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:

YLT Doing great things, and there is no searching. Wonderful, till there is no numbering.
BBE Who does great things outside our knowledge, wonders without number:

5:10 和合本 降雨在地上,賜水於田裡;
KJV Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
ASV Who giveth rain upon the earth, And sendeth waters upon the fields;
YLT Who is giving rain on the face of the land, And is sending waters on the out-places.
BBE Who gives rain on the earth, and sends water on the fields:
WEB Who gives rain on the earth,
5:11 和合本 將卑微的安置在高處,將哀痛的舉到穩妥之地;
KJV To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
ASV So that he setteth up on high those that are low, And those that mourn are exalted to safety.
YLT To set the low on a high place, And the mourners have been high `in' safety.
BBE Lifting up those who are low, and putting the sad in a safe place;
WEB So that he sets up on high those who are low,
5:12 和合本 破壞狡猾人的計謀,使他們所謀的不得成就。
KJV He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
ASV He frustrateth the devices of the crafty, So that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
YLT Making void thoughts of the subtile, And their hands do not execute wisdom.
BBE Who makes the designs of the wise go wrong, so that they are unable to give effect to their purposes.
WEB He frustrates the devices of the crafty,
5:13 和合本 他叫有智慧的中了自己的詭計,使狡詐人的計謀速速滅亡。
KJV He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
ASV He taketh the wise in their own craftiness; And the counsel of the cunning is carried headlong.
YLT Capturing the wise in their subtilty, And the counsel of wrestling ones was hastened,
BBE He takes the wise in their secret designs, and the purposes of the twisted are cut off suddenly.
WEB He takes the wise in their own craftiness;
5:14 和合本 他們白晝遇見黑暗,午間摸索如在夜間。
KJV They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
ASV They meet with darkness in the day-time, And grope at noonday as in the night.
YLT By day they meet darkness, And as night -- they grope at noon.
BBE In the daytime it becomes dark for them, and in the sunlight they go feeling about as if it was night.

5:15 和合本 神拯救窮乏人脫離他們口中的刀和強暴人的手。
KJV But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
ASV But he saveth from the sword of their mouth, Even the needy from the hand of the mighty.
YLT And He saveth the wasted from their mouth, And from a strong hand the needy,
BBE But he keeps safe from their sword those who have no father, and the poor from the power of the strong.

5:16 和合本 這樣,貧寒的人有指望,罪孽之輩必塞口無言。
KJV So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
ASV So the poor hath hope, And iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
YLT And there is hope to the poor, And perverseness hath shut her mouth.
BBE So the poor man has hope, and the mouth of the evil-doer is stopped.

5:17 和合本 神所懲治的人是有福的!所以你不可輕看全能者的管教。
KJV Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
ASV Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: Therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty.
YLT Lo, the happiness of mortal man, God doth reprove him: And the chastisement of the Mighty despise not,
BBE Truly, that man is happy who has training from the hand of God: so do not let your heart be shut to the teaching of the Ruler of all.

5:18 和合本 因為他打破,又纏裹;他擊傷,用手醫治。
KJV For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.

YLT For He doth pain, and He bindeth up, He smiteth, and His hands heal.
BBE For after his punishment he gives comfort, and after wounding, his hands make you well.

5:19 和合本 你六次遭難,他必救你;就是七次,災禍也無法害你。
KJV He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
ASV He will deliver thee in six troubles; Yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
YLT In six distresses He delivereth thee, And in seven evil striketh not on thee.
BBE He will keep you safe from six troubles, and in seven no evil will come near you.

5:20 和合本 在饑荒中,他必救你脫離死亡;在爭戰中,他必救你脫離刀劍的權力。
KJV In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
ASV In famine he will redeem thee from death; And in war from the power of the sword.
YLT In famine He hath redeemed thee from death, And in battle from the hands of the sword.
BBE When there is need of food he will keep you from death, and in war from the power of the sword.

5:21 和合本 你必被隱藏,不受口舌之害;災殃臨到,你也不懼怕。
KJV Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
ASV Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue; Neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
YLT When the tongue scourgeth thou art hid, And thou art not afraid of destruction, When it cometh.
BBE He will keep you safe from the evil tongue; and you will have no fear of wasting when it comes.

5:22 和合本 你遇見災害饑饉,就必嬉笑;地上的野獸,你也不懼怕。
KJV At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
ASV At destruction and dearth thou shalt laugh; Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
YLT At destruction and at hunger thou mockest, And of the beast of the earth, Thou art not afraid.
BBE You will make sport of destruction and need, and will have no fear of the beasts of the earth.

5:23 和合本 因為你必與田間的石頭立約;田裡的野獸也必與你和好。
KJV For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
ASV For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field; And the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
YLT (For with sons of the field `is' thy covenant, And the beast of the field Hath been at peace with thee.)
BBE For you will be in agreement with the stones of the earth, and the beasts of the field will be at peace with you.

5:24 和合本 你必知道你帳棚平安,要查看你的羊圈,一無所失;
KJV And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.
ASV And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; And thou shalt visit thy fold, and shalt miss nothing.
YLT And thou hast known that thy tent `is' peace, And inspected thy habitation, and errest not,
BBE And you will be certain that your tent is at peace, and after looking over your property you will see that nothing is gone.
WEB You shall know that your tent is in peace.
5:25 和合本 也必知道你的後裔將來發達,你的子孫像地上的青草。
KJV Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
ASV Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, And thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
YLT And hast known that numerous `is' Thy seed, And thine offspring as the herb of the earth;
BBE You will be certain that your seed will be great, and your offspring like the plants of the earth.
WEB You shall know also that your seed shall be great,
5:26 和合本 你必壽高年邁才歸墳墓,好像禾捆到時收藏。
KJV Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
ASV Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, Like as a shock of grain cometh in in its season.
YLT Thou comest in full age unto the grave, As the going up of a stalk in its season.
BBE You will come to your last resting-place in full strength, as the grain is taken up to the crushing-floor in its time.

5:27 和合本 這理,我們已經考察,本是如此。你須要聽,要知道是與自己有益。
KJV Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
