6:1 和合本 約伯回答說:

WEB Then Job answered,
6:2 和合本 惟願我的煩惱稱一稱,我一切的災害放在天平裡;
KJV Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!
ASV Oh that my vexation were but weighed, And all my calamity laid in the balances!
YLT O that my provocation were thoroughly weighed, And my calamity in balances They would lift up together!
BBE If only my passion might be measured, and put into the scales against my trouble!
WEB "Oh that my anguish were weighed,
6:3 和合本 現今都比海沙更重,所以我的言語急躁。
KJV For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.
ASV For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas: Therefore have my words been rash.
YLT For now, than the sands of the sea it is heavier, Therefore my words have been rash.
BBE For then its weight would be more than the sand of the seas: because of this my words have been uncontrolled.
WEB For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas,
6:4 和合本 因全能者的箭射入我身;其毒,我的靈喝盡了;神的驚嚇擺陣攻擊我。
KJV For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
ASV For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, The poison whereof my spirit drinketh up: The terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.
YLT For arrows of the Mighty `are' with me, Whose poison is drinking up my spirit. Terrors of God array themselves `for' me!
BBE For the arrows of the Ruler of all are present with me, and their poison goes deep into my spirit: his army of fears is put in order against me.

6:5 和合本 野驢有草豈能叫喚?牛有料豈能吼叫?
KJV Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder?
ASV Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? Or loweth the ox over his fodder?
YLT Brayeth a wild ass over tender grass? Loweth an ox over his provender?
BBE Does the ass of the fields give out his voice when he has grass? or does the ox make sounds over his food?
WEB Does the wild donkey bray when he has grass?
6:6 和合本 物淡而無鹽豈可吃嗎?蛋青有什麼滋味呢?
KJV Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
ASV Can that which hath no savor be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
YLT Eaten is an insipid thing without salt? Is there sense in the drivel of dreams?
BBE Will a man take food which has no taste without salt? or is there any taste in the soft substance of purslain?
WEB Can that which has no flavor be eaten without salt?
6:7 和合本 看為可厭的食物,我心不肯挨近。
KJV The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat.
ASV My soul refuseth to touch `them'; They are as loathsome food to me.
YLT My soul is refusing to touch! They `are' as my sickening food.
BBE My soul has no desire for such things, they are as disease in my food.
WEB My soul refuses to touch them;
6:8 和合本 惟願我得著所求的,願神賜我所切望的;
KJV Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!
ASV Oh that I might have my request; And that God would grant `me' the thing that I long for!
YLT O that my request may come, That God may grant my hope!
BBE If only I might have an answer to my prayer, and God would give me my desire!

6:9 和合本 就是願神把我壓碎,伸手將我剪除。
KJV Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
ASV Even that it would please God to crush me; That he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!
YLT That God would please -- and bruise me, Loose His hand and cut me off!
BBE If only he would be pleased to put an end to me; and would let loose his hand, so that I might be cut off!
WEB Even that it would please God to crush me;
6:10 和合本 我因沒有違棄那聖者的言語,就仍以此為安慰,在不止息的痛苦中還可踴躍。
KJV Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One.
ASV And be it still my consolation, Yea, let me exult in pain that spareth not, That I have not denied the words of the Holy One.
YLT And yet it is my comfort, (And I exult in pain -- He doth not spare,) That I have not hidden The sayings of the Holy One.
BBE So I would still have comfort, and I would have joy in the pains of death, for I have not been false to the words of the Holy One.
WEB Be it still my consolation,
6:11 和合本 我有什麼氣力使我等候?我有什麼結局使我忍耐?
KJV What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life?
ASV What is my strength, that I should wait? And what is mine end, that I should be patient?
YLT What `is' my power that I should hope? And what mine end That I should prolong my life?
BBE Have I strength to go on waiting, or have I any end to be looking forward to?
WEB What is my strength, that I should wait?
6:12 和合本 我的氣力豈是石頭的氣力?我的肉身豈是銅的呢?
KJV Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brass?
ASV Is my strength the strength of stones? Or is my flesh of brass?
YLT Is my strength the strength of stones? Is my flesh brazen?
BBE Is my strength the strength of stones, or is my flesh brass?
WEB Is my strength the strength of stones?
6:13 和合本 在我豈不是毫無幫助嗎?智慧豈不是從我心中趕出淨盡嗎?
KJV Is not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?
ASV Is it not that I have no help in me, And that wisdom is driven quite from me?
YLT Is not my help with me, And substance driven from me?
BBE I have no help in myself, and wisdom is completely gone from me.
WEB Isn't it that I have no help in me,
6:14 和合本 那將要灰心、離棄全能者、不敬畏神的人,他的朋友當以慈愛待他。
KJV To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.
ASV To him that is ready to faint kindness `should be showed' from his friend; Even to him that forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.
YLT To a despiser of his friends `is' shame, And the fear of the Mighty he forsaketh.
BBE He whose heart is shut against his friend has given up the fear of the Ruler of all.
WEB "To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend;
6:15 和合本 我的弟兄詭詐,好像溪水,又像溪水流乾的河道。
KJV My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away;
ASV My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, As the channel of brooks that pass away;
YLT My brethren have deceived as a brook, As a stream of brooks they pass away.
BBE My friends have been false like a stream, like streams in the valleys which come to an end:

6:16 和合本 這河因結冰發黑,有雪藏在其中;
KJV Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid:
ASV Which are black by reason of the ice, `And' wherein the snow hideth itself:
YLT That are black because of ice, By them doth snow hide itself.
BBE Which are dark because of the ice, and the snow falling into them;
WEB Which are black by reason of the ice,
6:17 和合本 天氣漸暖就隨時消化,日頭炎熱便從原處乾涸。
KJV What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
ASV What time they wax warm, they vanish; When it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.
YLT By the time they are warm they have been cut off, By its being hot they have been Extinguished from their place.
BBE Under the burning sun they are cut off, and come to nothing because of the heat.

6:18 和合本 結伴的客旅離棄大道,順河偏行,到荒野之地死亡。
KJV The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish.
ASV The caravans `that travel' by the way of them turn aside; They go up into the waste, and perish.
YLT Turn aside do the paths of their way, They ascend into emptiness, and are lost.
BBE The camel-trains go out of their way; they go up into the waste and come to destruction.
WEB The caravans that travel beside them turn aside;
6:19 和合本 提瑪結伴的客旅瞻望;示巴同夥的人等候。
KJV The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them.
ASV The caravans of Tema looked, The companies of Sheba waited for them.
YLT Passengers of Tema looked expectingly, Travellers of Sheba hoped for them.
BBE The camel-trains of Tema were searching with care, the bands of Sheba were waiting for them:

6:20 和合本 他們因失了盼望就抱愧,來到那裡便蒙羞。
KJV They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed.
ASV They were put to shame because they had hoped; They came thither, and were confounded.
YLT They were ashamed that one hath trusted, They have come unto it and are confounded.
BBE They were put to shame because of their hope; they came and their hope was gone.
WEB They were distressed because they were confident;
6:21 和合本 現在你們正是這樣,看見驚嚇的事便懼怕。
KJV For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid.

YLT Surely now ye have become the same! Ye see a downfall, and are afraid.
BBE So have you now become to me; you see my sad condition and are in fear.

6:22 和合本 我豈說:請你們供給我,從你們的財物中送禮物給我?
KJV Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance?
ASV Did I say, Give unto me? Or, Offer a present for me of your substance?
YLT Is it because I said, Give to me? And, By your power bribe for me?
BBE Did I say, Give me something? or, Make a payment for me out of your wealth?

6:23 和合本 豈說:拯救我脫離敵人的手嗎?救贖我脫離強暴人的手嗎?
KJV Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty?
ASV Or, Deliver me from the adversary's hand? Or, Redeem me from the hand of the oppressors?
YLT And, Deliver me from the hand of an adversary? And, From the hand of terrible ones ransom me?
BBE Or, Get me out of the power of my hater? or, Give money so that I may be free from the power of the cruel ones?
WEB Or, Deliver me from the adversary's hand?'
6:24 和合本 請你們教導我,我便不作聲;使我明白在何事上有錯。
KJV Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
ASV Teach me, and I will hold my peace; And cause me to understand wherein I have erred.
YLT Shew me, and I -- I keep silent, And what I have erred, let me understand.
BBE Give me teaching and I will be quiet; and make me see my error.

6:25 和合本 正直的言語力量何其大!但你們責備是責備什麼呢?
KJV How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove?
ASV How forcible are words of uprightness! But your reproof, what doth it reprove?
YLT How powerful have been upright sayings, And what doth reproof from you reprove?
BBE How pleasing are upright words! but what force is there in your arguments?
WEB How forcible are words of uprightness!
6:26 和合本 絕望人的講論既然如風,你們還想要駁正言語嗎?
KJV Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind?
ASV Do ye think to reprove words, Seeing that the speeches of one that is desperate are as wind?
YLT For reproof -- do you reckon words? And for wind -- sayings of the desperate.
BBE My words may seem wrong to you, but the words of him who has no hope are for the wind.
WEB Do you intend to reprove words,
6:27 和合本 你們想為孤兒拈鬮,以朋友當貨物。
KJV Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig a pit for your friend.
ASV Yea, ye would cast `lots' upon the fatherless, And make merchandise of your friend.
YLT Anger on the fatherless ye cause to fall, And are strange to your friend.
BBE Truly, you are such as would give up the child of a dead man to his creditors, and would make a profit out of your friend.
WEB Yes, you would even cast lots for the fatherless,
6:28 和合本 現在請你們看看我,我決不當面說謊。
KJV Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie.
ASV Now therefore be pleased to look upon me; For surely I shall not lie to your face.
YLT And, now, please, look upon me, Even to your face do I lie?
BBE Now then, let your eyes be turned to me, for truly I will not say what is false to your face.
WEB Now therefore be pleased to look at me,
6:29 和合本 請你們轉意,不要不公;請再轉意,我的事有理。
KJV Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it.
ASV Return, I pray you, let there be no injustice; Yea, return again, my cause is righteous.
YLT Turn back, I pray you, let it not be perverseness, Yea, turn back again -- my righteousness `is' in it.
BBE Let your minds be changed, and do not have an evil opinion of me; yes, be changed, for my righteousness is still in me.
WEB Please return. Let there be no injustice;
6:30 和合本 我的舌上豈有不義嗎?我的口裡豈不辨奸惡嗎?
KJV Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
ASV Is there injustice on my tongue? Cannot my taste discern mischievous things?
YLT Is there in my tongue perverseness? Discerneth not my palate desirable things?
BBE Is there evil in my tongue? is not the cause of my trouble clear to me?
