56:1 和合本 (非利士人在迦特拿住大衛。那時,他作這金詩,交與伶長。調用遠方無聲鴿。)神啊,求你憐憫我,因為人要把我吞了,終日攻擊欺壓我。
KJV Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
ASV Be merciful unto me, O God; for man would swallow me up: All the day long he fighting oppresseth me.
YLT To the Overseer. -- `On the Dumb Dove far off.' -- A secret treasure of David, in the Philistines' taking hold of him in Gath. Favour me, O God, for man swallowed me up, All the day fighting he oppresseth me,
BBE <To the chief music-maker; put to Jonath elem rehokim. Of David. Michtam. When the Philistines took him in Gath.> Have mercy on me, O God, for man is attempting my destruction; every day he makes cruel attacks against me.
WEB Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up.
56:2 和合本 我的仇敵終日要把我吞了,因逞驕傲攻擊我的人甚多。
KJV Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
ASV Mine enemies would swallow me up all the day long; For they are many that fight proudly against me.
YLT Mine enemies have swallowed up all the day, For many `are' fighting against me, O most High,
BBE My haters are ever ready to put an end to me; great numbers are lifting themselves up against me.

56:3 和合本 我懼怕的時候要倚靠你。
KJV What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
ASV What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.
YLT The day I am afraid I am confident toward Thee.
BBE In the time of my fear, I will have faith in you.

56:4 和合本 我倚靠神,我要讚美他的話;我倚靠神,必不懼怕。血氣之輩能把我怎麼樣呢?
KJV In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
ASV In God (I will praise his word), In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do unto me?
YLT In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, I fear not what flesh doth to me.
BBE In God will I give praise to his word; in God have I put my hope; I will have no fear of what flesh may do to me.

56:5 和合本 他們終日顛倒我的話;他們一切的心思都是要害我。
KJV Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
ASV All the day long they wrest my words: All their thoughts are against me for evil.
YLT All the day they wrest my words, Concerning me all their thoughts `are' for evil,
BBE Every day they make wrong use of my words; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
WEB All day long they twist my words.
56:6 和合本 他們聚集,埋伏窺探我的腳蹤,等候要害我的命。
KJV They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
ASV They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, They mark my steps, Even as they have waited for my soul.
YLT They assemble, they hide, they watch my heels, When they have expected my soul.
BBE They come together, they are waiting in secret places, they take note of my steps, they are waiting for my soul.

56:7 和合本 他們豈能因罪孽逃脫嗎?神啊,求你在怒中使眾民墮落!
KJV Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
ASV Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God.
YLT By iniquity they escape, In anger the peoples put down, O God.
BBE By evil-doing they will not get free from punishment. In wrath, O God, let the peoples be made low.
WEB Shall they escape by iniquity?
56:8 和合本 我幾次流離,你都記數;求你把我眼淚裝在你的皮袋裡。這不都記在你冊子上嗎?
KJV Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
ASV Thou numberest my wanderings: Put thou my tears into thy bottle; Are they not in thy book?
YLT My wandering Thou hast counted, Thou -- place Thou my tear in Thy bottle, Are they not in Thy book?
BBE You have seen my wanderings; put the drops from my eyes into your bottle; are they not in your record?

56:9 和合本 我呼求的日子,我的仇敵都要轉身退後。神幫助我,這是我所知道的。
KJV When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
ASV Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call: This I know, that God is for me.
YLT Then turn back do mine enemies in the day I call. This I have known, that God `is' for me.
BBE When I send up my cry to you, my haters will be turned back; I am certain of this, for God is with me.

56:10 和合本 我倚靠神,我要讚美他的話;我倚靠耶和華,我要讚美他的話。

56:11 和合本 我倚靠神,必不懼怕。人能把我怎麼樣呢?
KJV In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
ASV In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can man do unto me?
YLT In God I trusted, I fear not what man doth to me,
BBE In God have I put my hope, I will have no fear of what man may do to me.

56:12 和合本 神啊,我向你所許的願在我身上;我要將感謝祭獻給你。
KJV Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
ASV Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render thank-offerings unto thee.
YLT On me, O God, `are' Thy vows, I repay thank-offerings to Thee.
BBE I keep the memory of my debt to you, O God; I will give you the offerings of praise.
WEB Your vows are on me, God.
56:13 和合本 因為你救我的命脫離死亡。你豈不是救護我的腳不跌倒、使我在生命光中行在神面前嗎?
KJV For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
ASV For thou hast delivered my soul from death: `Hast thou' not `delivered' my feet from falling, That I may walk before God In the light of the living? Psalm 57 For the Chief Musician; `set to' Al-tash-heth. `A Psalm' of David. Michtam; when he fled from Saul, in the cave.
YLT For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, Dost Thou not my feet from falling? To walk habitually before God in the light of the living!
BBE Because you have taken my soul from the power of death; and kept my feet from falling, so that I may be walking before God in the light of life.
