22:1 和合本 「人若偷牛或羊,無論是宰了,是賣了,他就要以五牛賠一牛,四羊賠一羊。
KJV If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
ASV If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
YLT `When a man doth steal an ox or sheep, and hath slaughtered it or sold it, five of the herd he doth repay for the ox, and four of the flock for the sheep.
BBE If a man takes without right another man's ox or his sheep, and puts it to death or gets a price for it, he is to give five oxen for an ox, or four sheep for a sheep, in payment: the thief will have to make payment for what he has taken; if he has no money, he himself will have to be exchanged for money, so that payment may be made.

22:2 和合本 人若遇見賊挖窟窿,把賊打了,以至於死,就不能為他有流血的罪。
KJV If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
ASV If the thief be found breaking in, and be smitten so that he dieth, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him.
YLT `If in the breaking through, the thief is found, and he hath been smitten, and hath died, there is no blood for him;
BBE If a thief is taken in the act of forcing his way into a house, and his death is caused by a blow, the owner of the house is not responsible for his blood.

22:3 和合本 若太陽已經出來,就為他有流血的罪。賊若被拿,總要賠還。若他一無所有,就要被賣,頂他所偷的物。
KJV If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
ASV If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be bloodguiltiness for him; he shall make restitution: if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
YLT if the sun hath risen upon him, blood `is' for him, he doth certainly repay; if he have nothing, then he hath been sold for his theft;
BBE But if it is after dawn, he will be responsible.

22:4 和合本 若他所偷的,或牛,或驢,或羊,仍在他手下存活,他就要加倍賠還。

22:6 和合本 「若點火焚燒荊棘,以致將別人堆積的禾捆,站著的禾稼,或是田園,都燒盡了,那點火的必要賠還。
KJV If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
ASV If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the shocks of grain, or the standing grain, or the field are consumed; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
YLT `When fire goeth forth, and hath found thorns, and a stack, or the standing corn, or the field, hath been consumed, he who causeth the burning doth certainly repay.
BBE If there is a fire and the flames get to the thorns at the edge of the field, causing destruction of the cut grain or of the living grain, or of the field, he who made the fire will have to make up for the damage.

22:7 和合本 「人若將銀錢或家具交付鄰舍看守,這物從那人的家被偷去,若把賊找到了,賊要加倍賠還;

22:8 和合本 若找不到賊,那家主必就近審判官,要看看他拿了原主的物件沒有。
KJV If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbor's goods.
ASV If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall come near unto God, `to see' whether he have not put his hand unto his neighbor's goods.

KJV For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay

22:11 和合本 那看守的人要憑著耶和華起誓,手裡未曾拿鄰舍的物,本主就要罷休,看守的人不必賠還。
KJV Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbor's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.
ASV the oath of Jehovah shall be between them both, whether he hath not put his hand unto his neighbor's goods; and the owner thereof shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.

22:12 和合本 牲畜若從看守的那裡被偷去,他就要賠還本主;

22:13 和合本 若被野獸撕碎,看守的要帶來當作證據,所撕的不必賠還。
KJV If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.

YLT if it is certainly torn, he bringeth it in -- a witness; the torn thing he doth not repay.
BBE But if it has been damaged by a beast, and he is able to make this clear, he will not have to make payment for what was damaged.

22:14 和合本 「人若向鄰舍借什麼,所借的或受傷,或死,本主沒有同在一處,借的人總要賠還;
KJV And if a man borrow ought of his neighbor, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.
ASV And if a man borrow aught of his neighbor, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
YLT `And when a man doth ask `anything' from his neighbour, and it hath been hurt or hath died -- its owner not being with it -- he doth certainly repay;
BBE If a man gets from his neighbour the use of one of his beasts, and it is damaged or put to death when the owner is not with it, he will certainly have to make payment for the loss.
WEB "If a man borrows anything of his neighbor's, and it is injured, or dies, the owner of it not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
22:15 和合本 若本主同在一處,他就不必賠還;若是雇的,也不必賠還,本是為雇價來的。」
KJV But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.

22:16 和合本 「人若引誘沒有受聘的處女,與他行淫,他總要交出聘禮,娶他為妻。
KJV And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
ASV And if a man entice a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
YLT `And when a man doth entice a virgin who `is' not betrothed, and hath lain with her, he doth certainly endow her to himself for a wife;
BBE If a man takes a virgin, who has not given her word to another man, and has connection with her, he will have to give a bride-price for her to be his wife.
WEB "If a man entices a virgin who isn't pledged to be married, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
22:17 和合本 若女子的父親決不肯將女子給他,他就要按處女的聘禮,交出錢來。
KJV If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
ASV If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
YLT if her father utterly refuse to give her to him, money he doth weigh out according to the dowry of virgins.

22:19 和合本 「凡與獸淫合的,總要把他治死。

BBE Any man who has sex connection with a beast is to be put to death.

22:20 和合本 「祭祀別神,不單單祭祀耶和華的,那人必要滅絕。
KJV He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
ASV He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto Jehovah only, shall be utterly destroyed.
YLT `He who is sacrificing to a god, save to Jehovah alone, is devoted.
BBE Complete destruction will come on any man who makes offerings to any other god but the Lord.
WEB "He who sacrifices to any god, except to Yahweh only, shall be utterly destroyed.
22:21 和合本 「不可虧負寄居的,也不可欺壓他,因為你們在埃及地也作過寄居的。
KJV Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
ASV And a sojourner shalt thou not wrong, neither shalt thou oppress him: for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

22:25 和合本 「我民中有貧窮人與你同住,你若借錢給他,不可如放債的向他取利。

ASV If thou lend money to any of my people with thee that is poor, thou shalt not be to him as a creditor; neither shall ye lay upon him interest.
YLT `If thou dost lend My poor people with thee money, thou art not to him as a usurer; thou dost not lay on him usury;
BBE If you let any of the poor among my people have the use of your money, do not be a hard creditor to him, and do not take interest.

22:27 和合本 因他只有這一件當蓋頭,是他蓋身的衣服,若是沒有,他拿什麼睡覺呢?他哀求我,我就應允,因為我是有恩惠的。
KJV For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

22:28 和合本 「不可毀謗神;也不可毀謗你百姓的官長。
KJV Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.
ASV Thou shalt not revile God, nor curse a ruler of thy people.
YLT `God thou dost not revile, and a prince among thy people thou dost not curse.
BBE You may not say evil of the judges, or put a curse on the ruler of your people.
WEB "You shall not blaspheme God, nor curse a ruler of your people.
22:29 和合本 「你要從你莊稼中的穀和酒醡中滴出來的酒拿來獻上,不可遲延。「你要將頭生的兒子歸給我。
KJV Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
ASV Thou shalt not delay to offer of thy harvest, and of the outflow of thy presses. The first-born of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
YLT `Thy fulness and thy liquids thou dost not delay; the first-born of thy sons thou dost give to Me;
BBE Do not keep back your offerings from the wealth of your grain and your vines. The first of your sons you are to give to me.

22:30 和合本 你牛羊頭生的,也要這樣;七天當跟著母,第八天要歸給我。

22:31 和合本 「你要在我面前為聖潔的人。因此,田間被野獸撕裂牲畜的肉,你們不可吃,要丟給狗吃。」
KJV And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.
ASV And ye shall be holy men unto me: therefore ye shall not eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.
YLT `And ye are holy men to Me, and flesh torn in the field ye do not eat, to a dog ye do cast it.
BBE You are to be holy men to me: the flesh of no animal whose death has been caused by the beasts of the field may be used for your food; it is to be given to the dogs.
WEB "You shall be holy men to me, therefore you shall not eat any flesh that is torn by animals in the field. You shall cast it to the dogs.
