8:1 和合本 巴不得你像我的兄弟,像吃我母親奶的兄弟;我在外頭遇見你就與你親嘴,誰也不輕看我。
KJV O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.
ASV Oh that thou wert as my brother, That sucked the breasts of my mother! `When' I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; Yea, and none would despise me.
YLT Who doth make thee as a brother to me, Sucking the breasts of my mother? I find thee without, I kiss thee, Yea, they do not despise me,
BBE Oh that you were my brother, who took milk from my mother's breasts! When I came to you in the street, I would give you kisses; yes, I would not be looked down on.

8:2 和合本 我必引導你,領你進我母親的家;我可以領受教訓,也就使你喝石榴汁釀的香酒。
KJV I would lead thee, and bring thee into my mother's house, who would instruct me: I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine of the juice of my pomegranate.
ASV I would lead thee, `and' bring thee into my mother's house, Who would instruct me; I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine, Of the juice of my pomegranate.
YLT I lead thee, I bring thee in unto my mother's house, She doth teach me, I cause thee to drink of the perfumed wine, Of the juice of my pomegranate,
BBE I would take you by the hand into my mother's house, and she would be my teacher. I would give you drink of spiced wine, drink of the pomegranate.

8:3 和合本 他的左手必在我頭下;他的右手必將我抱住。
KJV His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

BBE His left hand would be under my head, and his right hand about me.

8:4 和合本 耶路撒冷的眾女子啊,我囑咐你們:不要驚動、不要叫醒我所親愛的,等他自己情願(不要叫醒至情願:或作不要激動愛情,等他自發)。
KJV I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, until he please.
ASV I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, That ye stir not up, nor awake `my' love, Until he please.
YLT I have adjured you, daughters of Jerusalem, How ye stir up, And how ye wake the love till she please!
BBE I say to you, O daughters of Jerusalem, do not let love be moved till it is ready.

8:5 和合本 那靠著良人從曠野上來的是誰呢?(新娘)我在蘋果樹下叫醒你。你母親在那裡為你劬勞;生養你的在那裡為你劬勞。
KJV Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.
ASV Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, Leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple-tree I awakened thee: There thy mother was in travail with thee, There was she in travail that brought thee forth.
YLT Who `is' this coming from the wilderness, Hasting herself for her beloved? Under the citron-tree I have waked thee, There did thy mother pledge thee, There she gave a pledge `that' bare thee.
BBE Who is this, who comes up from the waste places, resting on her loved one? It was I who made you awake under the apple-tree, where your mother gave you birth; there she was in pain at your birth.

8:6 和合本 求你將我放在你心上如印記,帶在你臂上如戳記。因為愛情如死之堅強,嫉恨如陰間之殘忍;所發的電光是火焰的電光,是耶和華的烈焰。
KJV Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
ASV Set me as a seal upon thy heart, As a seal upon thine arm: For love is strong as death; Jealousy is cruel as Sheol; The flashes thereof are flashes of fire, A very flame of Jehovah.
YLT Set me as a seal on thy heart, as a seal on thine arm, For strong as death is love, Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, Its burnings `are' burnings of fire, a flame of Jah!
BBE Put me as a sign on your heart, as a sign on your arm; love is strong as death, and wrath bitter as the underworld: its coals are coals of fire; violent are its flames.

8:7 和合本 愛情,眾水不能息滅,大水也不能淹沒。若有人拿家中所有的財寶要換愛情,就全被藐視。(新娘的兄弟)

8:9 和合本 他若是牆,我們要在其上建造銀塔;他若是門,我們要用香柏木板圍護他。(新娘)
KJV If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.
ASV If she be a wall, We will build upon her a turret of silver: And if she be a door, We will inclose her with boards of cedar.
YLT If she is a wall, we build by her a palace of silver. And if she is a door, We fashion by her board-work of cedar.
