40:2 和合本 要對耶路撒冷說安慰的話,又向他宣告說,他爭戰的日子已滿了;他的罪孽赦免了;他為自己的一切罪,從耶和華手中加倍受罰。
KJV Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
ASV Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she hath received of Jehovah's hand double for all her sins.
YLT Speak to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her, That her warfare hath been completed, That accepted hath been her punishment, That she hath received from the hand of Jehovah Double for all her sins.
BBE Say kind words to the heart of Jerusalem, crying out to her that her time of trouble is ended, that her punishment is complete; that she has been rewarded by the Lord's hand twice over for all her sins.

KJV The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

40:4 和合本 一切山窪都要填滿,大小山岡都要削平;高高低低的要改為平坦,崎崎嶇嶇的必成為平原。
KJV Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:

40:5 和合本 耶和華的榮耀必然顯現;凡有血氣的必一同看見;因為這是耶和華親口說的。

40:6 和合本 有人聲說:你喊叫吧!有一個說:我喊叫什麼呢?說:凡有血氣的盡都如草;他的美容都像野地的花。
KJV The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

40:7 和合本 草必枯乾,花必凋殘,因為耶和華的氣吹在其上;百姓誠然是草。
KJV The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
ASV The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, because the breath of Jehovah bloweth upon it; surely the people is grass.
YLT Withered hath grass, faded the flower, For the Spirit of Jehovah blew upon it, Surely the people `is' grass;
BBE The grass becomes dry, the flower is dead; because the breath of the Lord goes over it: truly the people is grass.

40:8 和合本 草必枯乾,花必凋殘,惟有我們神的話必永遠立定。

40:9 和合本 報好信息給錫安的啊,你要登高山;報好信息給耶路撒冷的啊,你要極力揚聲。揚聲不要懼怕,對猶大的城邑說:看哪,你們的神!
KJV O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
ASV O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion, get thee up on a high mountain; O thou that tellest good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold, your God!
YLT On a high mountain get thee up, O Zion, Proclaiming tidings, Lift up with power thy voice, O Jerusalem, proclaiming tidings, Lift up, fear not, say to cities of Judah, `Lo, your God.'
BBE You who give good news to Zion, get up into the high mountain; you who give good news to Jerusalem, let your voice be strong; let it be sounding without fear; say to the towns of Judah, See, your God!

40:10 和合本 主耶和華必像大能者臨到;他的膀臂必為他掌權。他的賞賜在他那裡;他的報應在他面前。
KJV Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.
ASV Behold, the Lord Jehovah will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him: Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

40:11 和合本 他必像牧人牧養自己的羊群,用膀臂聚集羊羔抱在懷中,慢慢引導那乳養小羊的。
KJV He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
ASV He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, `and' will gently lead those that have their young.
YLT As a shepherd His flock He feedeth, With His arm He gathereth lambs, And in His bosom He carrieth `them': Suckling ones He leadeth.
BBE He will give food to his flock like a keeper of sheep; with his arm he will get it together, and will take up the lambs on his breast, gently guiding those which are with young.

40:12 和合本 誰曾用手心量諸水,用手虎口量蒼天,用升斗盛大地的塵土,用秤稱山嶺,用天平平岡陵呢?
KJV Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

40:13 和合本 誰曾測度耶和華的心(或作:誰曾指示耶和華的靈),或作他的謀士指教他呢?

40:14 和合本 他與誰商議,誰教導他,誰將公平的路指示他,又將知識教訓他,將通達的道指教他呢?
KJV With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?
ASV With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?

40:15 和合本 看哪,萬民都像水桶的一滴,又算如天平上的微塵;他舉起眾海島,好像極微之物。

40:18 和合本 你們究竟將誰比神,用什麼形像與神比較呢?

40:19 和合本 偶像是匠人鑄造,銀匠用金包裹,為他鑄造銀鍊。
KJV The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.
ASV The image, a workman hath cast `it', and the goldsmith overlayeth it with gold, and casteth `for it' silver chains.
YLT The graven image poured out hath a artizan, And a refiner with gold spreadeth it over, And chains of silver he is refining.
BBE The workman makes an image, and the gold-worker puts gold plates over it, and makes silver bands for it.

40:20 和合本 窮乏獻不起這樣供物的,就揀選不能朽壞的樹木,為自己尋找巧匠,立起不能搖動的偶像。
KJV He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved.
ASV He that is too impoverished for `such' an oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a skilful workman to set up a graven image, that shall not be moved.
YLT He who is poor `by' heave-offerings, A tree not rotten doth choose, A skilful artizan he seeketh for it, To establish a graven image -- not moved.
BBE The wise workman makes selection of the mulberry-tree of the offering, a wood which will not become soft; so that the image may be fixed to it and not be moved.
WEB He who is too impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot.
40:21 和合本 你們豈不曾知道嗎?你們豈不曾聽見嗎?從起初豈沒有人告訴你們嗎?自從立地的根基,你們豈沒有明白嗎?

40:22 和合本 神坐在地球大圈之上;地上的居民好像蝗蟲。他鋪張穹蒼如幔子,展開諸天如可住的帳棚。
KJV It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
ASV `It is' he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;

40:23 和合本 他使君王歸於虛無,使地上的審判官成為虛空。

YLT He who is making princes become nothing, Judges of earth as emptiness hath made;

40:24 和合本 他們是剛才(或作:不曾;下同)栽上,剛才種上,根也剛才扎在地裡,他一吹在其上,便都枯乾;旋風將他們吹去,像碎稓一樣。
KJV Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

40:26 和合本 你們向上舉目,看誰創造這萬象,按數目領出,他一一稱其名;因他的權能,又因他的大能大力,連一個都不缺。
KJV Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

40:28 和合本 你豈不曾知道嗎?你豈不曾聽見嗎?永在的神耶和華,創造地極的主,並不疲乏,也不困倦;他的智慧無法測度。
KJV Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

40:29 和合本 疲乏的,他賜能力;軟弱的,他加力量。

40:30 和合本 就是少年人也要疲乏困倦;強壯的也必全然跌倒。

KJV But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
ASV but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
YLT But those expecting Jehovah pass `to' power, They raise up the pinion as eagles, They run and are not fatigued, They go on and do not faint!
BBE But those who are waiting for the Lord will have new strength; they will get wings like eagles: running, they will not be tired, and walking, they will have no weariness.
