《How God blessed Israel》上帝如何祝福屬祂的國

※A greater promise than first realized上的說的祝福與咒詛
The story of the patriarch Abraham, in the book of Genesis, has many intimate conversations between Abraham and God.
The first time they speak, God promises Abraham that if he leaves his home in Mesopotamia and moves to Canaan, “I will make of you a great nation…I will bless those you bless you and curse him who curses you.” This seems fairly straightforward, but what do the words “bless” and “curse” mean exactly in Hebrew?
在創世紀的亞伯拉罕族長的故事中,亞伯拉罕和上帝之間有許多親密的對話。 他們第一次說話,上帝應許亞伯拉罕,如果他離開他在美索不達米亞的家,搬到迦南,「我必叫你成為大國。..... 為你祝福的,我必賜福與他;那咒詛你的,我必咒詛他。」 說的簡單,但「祝福」和「詛咒」這兩個詞在希伯來語中的含義是什麼?

※Bless those who serve僕人事奉
*In Hebrew, the verb “to bless” is levarech (לברך). This is based on the root BRK ברך which means "knee", implying rendering service to someone, by bending your knee to them.
在希伯來語中,動詞“to bless”是levarech(לברך)(levarekhe) לְבָרֵךְ。這是基於根BRKברך,意思是「膝」,意下跪提供服務。

創 12:3為你祝福的,我必賜福與他;那咒詛你的,我必咒詛他。地上的萬族都要因你得福。」
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
~
And I will bless them that bless:וַאֲבָֽרֲכָה֙ מְבָ֣רְכֶ֔יךָ
be blessed:וְנִבְרְכ֣וּ
(1288) בָרַךְ
בּרך bârak baw-rak
A primitive root; to kneel下跪; by implication表示 to bless God (as an act of adoration崇拜),

*This is no simple benediction. God is not talking about saying nice words. The literal meaning of this verse is, "I will minister to those who show solidarity to you by serving you".
這不是簡單的祝福。上帝不是在說討好的話。這節經文的字面意思是,「我將服事那些為與你團結而服侍你的人」。

※Understand the profound meaning of the Bible
The opposite is true for those who curse Abraham.
The first word for curse mekalelcha (מקללך) comes from a root meaning to make light of someone heavy.
The second word for curse a’or (אאר) means "to utterly destroy.”
So, the literal meaning is “the one who makes light of you I will utterly destroy".
對於那些詛咒亞伯拉罕的人來說恰恰相反。
詛咒mekalelcha(מקללך)的第一個詞來自一個字根,意「非常輕視某人」。
詛咒aor(אאר)的第二個詞意味著「徹底消滅」。
因此,字面意思是「看輕你的人,我會徹底消滅」。
