詩83
1(亞薩的詩歌。)神啊，求祢不要靜默！神啊，求祢不要閉口，也不要不作聲！
2因為祢的仇敵喧嚷，恨祢的抬起頭來。
3他們同謀奸詐要害祢的百姓，彼此商議要害祢所隱藏的人。
4他們說：來吧，我們將他們剪滅，使他們不再成國！使以色列的名不再被人記念！
5他們同心商議，彼此結盟，要抵擋祢，
6就是住帳棚的以東人和以實瑪利人，摩押和夏甲人，
7迦巴勒、亞捫，和亞瑪力、非利士並推羅的居民。
8亞述也與他們連合；他們作羅得子孫的幫手。(細拉)
9求祢待他們，如待米甸，如在基順河待西西拉和耶賓一樣。
10他們在隱多珥滅亡，成了地上的糞土。
11求祢叫他們的首領像俄立和西伊伯，叫他們的王子都像西巴和撒慕拿。
12他們說：我們要得神的住處，作為自己的產業。
13我的神啊，求祢叫他們像旋風的塵土，像風前的碎稓。
14火怎樣焚燒樹林，火焰怎樣燒著山嶺，
15求祢也照樣用狂風追趕他們，用暴雨恐嚇他們。
16願祢使他們滿面羞恥，好叫他們尋求祢耶和華的名！
17願他們永遠羞愧驚惶！願他們慚愧滅亡！
18使他們知道：惟獨祢名為耶和華的，是全地以上的至高者！
Psalms 83
1 O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5 With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you-
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them to reinforce Lot’s descendants.
9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as you did to Sizer Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreo and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession of the pasturelands of God.”
13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, Lord, so that they will seek your name.
17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord- that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.
詩84
1(可拉後裔的詩，交與伶長。用迦特樂器。)萬軍之耶和華啊，祢的居所何等可愛！
2我羨慕渴想耶和華的殿宇；我的心腸，我的肉體向永生神呼籲(或作：歡呼)。
3萬軍之耶和華我的王，我的神啊，在祢祭壇那裡，麻雀為自己找著房屋，燕子為自己找著菢雛之窩。
4如此住在祢殿中的便為有福！他們仍要讚美祢。(細拉)
5靠祢有力量、心中想往錫安大道的，這人便為有福！
6他們經過「流淚谷」，叫這谷變為泉源之地；並有秋雨之福蓋滿了全谷。
7他們行走，力上加力，各人到錫安朝見神。
8耶和華萬軍之神啊，求祢聽我的禱告！雅各的神啊，求祢留心聽！(細拉)
9神啊，祢是我們的盾牌；求祢垂顧觀看祢受膏者的面！
10在祢的院宇住一日，勝似在別處住千日；寧可在我神殿中看門，不願住在惡人的帳棚裡。
11因為耶和華神是日頭，是盾牌，要賜下恩會和榮耀。祂未嘗留下一樣好處不給那些行動正直的人。
12萬軍之耶和華啊，倚靠祢的人便為有福！
Psalms 84
1 How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty!
2 My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young- a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
6 As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
7 They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.
8 Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty; listen to me, God of Jacob.
9 Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one.
10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.
12 Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.
